Description
Gotu Kola, also known as Centella asiatica, is a herbaceous perennial plant that belongs to the Apiaceae family. It is native to Southeast Asia and is widely cultivated in countries such as China, India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Gotu Kola grows best in tropical and subtropical regions where there is ample sunshine and high humidity.
Gotu Kola is typically propagated through seeds or by dividing the root clumps. The plant grows well in moist, well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. It is usually harvested by hand, and the leaves are picked when they are young and tender. Once harvested, the leaves can be used fresh or dried for later use.
